Baku City Centre to Heydar Aliyev International Airport

This page is for people flying out of Baku. It is the same road as the arrival route, but the planning is a completely different problem.

The real question: what time to leave

On arrival, the aircraft decides your timing. On departure you decide it yourself, and getting it wrong is expensive.

Send us your flight time and we will work the hour out with you. Three things go into it: when check-in closes, how far your address is from the airport, and what traffic does at that hour.

Check-in for international flights normally closes two hours before departure. The exact time is set by the airline, which is why we ask for your flight number.

How long the drive takes

The airport’s own information puts the journey between the city and the airport at 30 minutes.

That figure is for a clear road. Leaving the city slows down around eight in the morning and six in the evening. If your flight falls in those hours, we build in a margin.

Where the driver collects you

Outside your hotel, at the door of your building, or at your office address. Your driver contacts you once he is there, and waits while you come down.

Give the address precisely when you book. Baku has streets that share a name, and four in the morning is a bad time to sort that out over the phone.

Vehicle and luggage

A sedan takes one large suitcase comfortably. With three or four you need the minivan. For a bigger group there is a minibus and a bus.

Outbound luggage tends to be heavier than inbound — gifts, shopping, things bought during the trip. Take that into account when you book.

We provide child seats. Tell us the child’s age.

Early flights

We run early morning and overnight. There is no night surcharge.

You can find a taxi in the city for a six a.m. flight, but nobody can promise you one. A car booked in advance removes that risk.

Payment

Cash, card, or bank transfer. Tell us which suits you when you book.

What we need to quote you

Pick-up address, flight date and number, how many of you there are, and how many suitcases. With those we give you both the price and the pick-up time.

Yes. We run overnight and early morning, and the price stays the same.

Will the driver call me?
