Astara to Baku Transfer

Going north out of Astara is a different problem from going south. Half the people who book it are being met, not collected from a hotel.

Somebody walking out of a border crossing cannot promise you a minute.

Meeting you at the crossing

Give us a window rather than a time.

You do not control how long the formalities take, so we do not build the day as though you did. Send the date and roughly when you expect to be through, and agree a meeting point with us in advance. The driver is there and he stays there. Message him when you are out and he comes to you.

Coming from a hotel instead

If you have spent a few days in the south, this is an ordinary pick-up.

Give the hotel name or the street address. If you are staying outside the town or up in the hills, say so. That is a different point on the map, and it moves the hour we leave.

Send the date and your pick-up point, and we set the hour with you.

There is no single right answer for this road. Somebody with an evening flight plans it one way. Somebody with nothing fixed in Baku plans it another way. Tell us which of the two you are and we build the day around it.

What people carry north

Tea, citrus, preserves, and whatever came out of the market.

Say so when you book. Jars and boxes ride flat in the boot rather than on a seat, and a large amount of it changes which car we send. Nobody wants to work that out at the kerb.

Wet at one end, dry at the other

You will probably start out damp.

The south gets rain in every season and Baku often does not. Bring a bag for a wet coat and wet shoes, so the rest of what you are carrying stays dry for the whole road.

Where we set you down

Your hotel in Baku, your own door, or the airport.

The airport is east of the city, past the centre, so an airport drop is a different end to the journey. Send the flight number and time with your booking if you are flying, and we build the day backwards from it.

Vehicle and group

A sedan suits two with light luggage. Four with cases want the minivan, and a larger group wants the minibus.

Send the passenger count, the bag count, and anything unusual you are carrying. Child seats are available. Give us the ages when you book.

Payment

Cash, card, or bank transfer. Tell us when you book.

What we need to quote you
